Socrative is a formative assessment tool that helps teachers and learners to assess learning and progress.

But, what is formative assement tool?

It simply for consolidate more fun and effective learning. In the formative assement tool, reinforcing the learning is the main goal. It gives teachers the opportunity to get to know their students, provides content creation according to their needs. Through activities, the teacher is expected to address the class’s deficiencies of knowledge. Also students can receive personal feedback. Formative essement tolls are generally simple but effective tools with easy to us.

So, Socrative is one of the formative assessment tools, besides other tools like Kahoot, Flipgrid, Mentimeter and Padlet.

What you can create via Socrative? You can make quizzes with multiple choices, true-false questions and short answer questions. You can create rooms to get access by students via room code. You can make online quizzes to see who answered questions in how many seconds, besides their answers.

In order to understand how it works in a clear way, here is one simple example:

• Firstly, when you log in to your account as a teacher, press the quiz button and click the ‘Add Quiz’ tab and open ‘Create New’
• Then, add a quiz name, and select one of the quiz type options. Write your quiz and select the correct answer. Then add the explanation of the question. Why it is false?

          The answer will be clearly understood by the students when you add the explanation.

• And lastly, click the save button.
