Infographics are basically informative graphics. The information is shared via images. Maps, signs, symbols, and graphics are used to describe the subject matter.
But why have Infographics gained so much popularity recently and started to be used in many areas?
Our brain is better at detecting and remembering visuals. In addition, the availability of internet access, depending on technology, has recently increased information pollution.
In the infographic, creating a presentation with short texts and effective visuals provides people with a sense of not only spending time but also keeping the information in mind.
If we can take a quick search about why, actually we can find a lot of source about that.
According to The Persuasive Properties of Color by R. Green, color visuals increase the willingness to read by %80.
And Merieb, E. N. & Hoehn, K. (2007) indicates that almost 50% of your brain is involved in visual processing.

And in addition to that, although it is generally used in digital marketing, it can be effectively applied to many areas including education.
Following that idea, i created an informational infographic template and uploaded to Pinterest.

I used Canva to create the infographic.
You can use Canva for many reasons, besides creating infographic. We will focuse on how to create infographic.
When you search for infopraphic, you see a lot of template examples to either inspire or use.
When you choose an example template to work on, you can chance everything on it.
You can add shapes, charts, frames, icons, etc.
You can change background and add text wherever you want. You can also upload images from your computer or via links.

As for my personal experience, the details were very challenging. It took quite a bit of time and energy to adjust everything to size, position, and content. But I think this is something that needs to be taken into account because the result is quite satisfactory.

What is Pinterest?
Pinterest is a web-based pinboard social media platform that you can find a lot of different things. From scenes to projects-to-try, from education to life hack tips. You can use it for finding almost everything. You can organize your posts.
The things you can do in Pinterest are creating an account and specializing as your desire. Creating pins to collect images and information, following people, liking posts, searching topics with related tags.
Here is one simple example of how to use Pinterest.
Firstly, you can search about one topic:
And if you want to be more specific in your search, you can use the tags under the search engine.
You can either download or report the post with the three-point pushbutton in the upper left corner of the post.
You can find the soruce of the post, you can follow the person who shared the post.
And lastly, if you find a post/posts that you would like to search more, or you would like to save, you can create borads to pin the posts.
All you have to do is click grey area on the top of the heading, and click ‘red create button’, enter a name for a board, make it secret or public, and lastly, click create.
You just created a board with a pin in it!
