Virtual reality basically refers to a simulated enviroment that includes auditory and visual feedback. It is computer generated and usually used with headsets.
There are a lot of forms that virtual reality headsets have. From expensive ones to cardboard ones. Although both types are good enough, it should be taken into consideration that the quality of the experience may vary depending on the quality and price. of the headsets.
Recently, in Instructional Technologies course, we tried virtual reality. We used our phones and downloaded some virtual reality apps. And then we placed our phones in the virtual reality headset. Some of the apps that we tried was not good enough to be felt like in a different place. But some of them increased our heartbeats. I think when it is used efficient, virtual reality can make learning powerful.
We had a lot of fun when we tried virtual reality. We were thrilled to discover new things. With that in mind, I can say that virtual reality has an important place in future education.
But for now, there is a long way to go about education.
